I recently worked with Gameloft Toronto for two years as a 2D Artist creating marketing and in-game assets for Disney Magic Kingdoms. DEATH SHIP
At Gameloft I participated in their annual Game Jam competition, and this is one project that I wanted to share. It was a three day marathon to develop a full-working game from concept to playable. A great, but challenging experience to say the least. Death ship was the result. I was responsible for creating all of the working, and concept art from start to completion. The game itself was a retro-horror themed 80’s Science Fiction, with throwbacks and homages to games like Contra and Doom. Below are some of the bits and peices I created, including all the sprites and game maps. Due to time constraints I did use some existing base art for the level maps, but I customized them in Photoshop greatly.
